Brooke Senger

 

 

Brooke grew up in Cary, IL where she began her dance training at age 3. Under the direction of Judith Svalander at the Judith Svalander School of Ballet, she also trained with Greg Begley, Julie Fiore-Hirsch, and Christina Luzwick. There, she performed lead roles as Cinderella in Cinderella, The Dew Drop Fairy in the Nutcracker, and was a featured soloist in new works for the Judith Svalander Dance Theatre. 

 

Brooke received her Bachelor’s of Science in Dance-Arts Administration at Butler University on a Presidential Scholarship in May of 2016 where she studied under and performed the choreographic works of Marek Cholewa, Patrick Hinson, Michelle Jarvis, Stephan Laurent, Susan McGuire, Cynthia Pratt, Derek Reid, Laura Byram, and Rosanna Ruffo. While dancing with the Butler Ballet, she performed lead and ensemble roles as the Spanish Princess in Swan Lake, The Lead Angel in The Nutcracker, as well as others in Giselle, Cinderella and The Sleeping Beauty. She has been lucky to have been a part of Lesley Telford’s original work “Anamnesis” created for Butler Ballet, and in 2014, she toured Europe performing with the Butler Ballet and trained with the Polish National Schools of Ballet in Warsaw and Poznan, Poland as well as The National Conservatories in Prague, Czech Republic and Bratislava, Slovakia. 

 

On top of her ballet training, Brooke has extensive training in modern, jazz, tap, contemporary and musical theatre dance as well. Brooke has spent her summers and winters training with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet School, Kaatsbaan International Dance Center, Elements Contemporary Ballet, River North Dance Chicago and Lou Conte Dance Studios. Summer of 2016, she was the Development and Special Events Intern for American Dance Festival. Brooke is currently an Apprentice with Dissonance Dance Theater in Washington D.C.
